After the garage door remote battery ran out I set about to create a rechargable remote control that I would not ever forget. The simple solution was to make use of my smart phone I have on me at all times. The Raspberry Pi runs a web application I wrote that captures a picture from a camera and displays it to a user. The buttons status changes color depending on the door location. Door actions can be logged to a database for review.
