Hanging devices on the wall from CAT5E Ethernet is not a stable solution. Over time stress on the cable from the weight of the devices can cause the cable to break. A low cost solution to secure these components is to install a switch rack. This rack houses two cable modems, router, PDU and a switch. It also has lockable removable panels with a door.
