iMac Upgrades

iMac speeds can be increased by upgrading to an internal SSD and increasing memory. This iMac had a standard 7,200 RPM hard drive and 4 GB of memory installed with a broken optical drive. The iMac was disassembled and upgraded to an internal SSD using Carbon Copy Cloner 4 and an external USB to SATA adapter. The optical drive was also replaced from a standard DVD R/W to a Blu-ray drive. The system runs multiple applications fluidly with 12 GB of system memory.
